modems and are having trouble
connecting at speeds higher than 33.6.

K56/V.90 Help |
| Step
#1 |
Ensure that
your modem is in-fact a 56k/V.90 modem. |
| Step
#2 |
Ensure that
your phone lines are capable of supporting the higher speed. If you
were experiencing connect speeds of 28,800 bps or 26,400 bps with a
33.6K modem, your phone lines are probably insufficient quality to
attain 56K speeds. |
| Step
#3 |
Make sure
you have the latest firmware for your modem. Check the links below for
firmware updates as well as driver updates.

If none of
the above steps solve your problem, please checkout this site Troubleshooting
56k Modems or contact your modem manufacturer for further
information. If they ask, the terminal servers that we use are Cisco
AS53240's & a Cisco AS5260 with True Digital K56flex/V.90 modems. |
*NOTE - The maximum speed we have seen so far is
53,333 bps.
